  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Neuregulin-4 (NRG4) is a member of the neuregulin family, which plays a vital role in various physiological processes, including neuronal development, cardiac function, and immune regulation. Recent studies have highlighted NRG4's potential therapeutic applications due to its involvement in metabolic pathways and its protective effects against obesity, insulin resistance, and inflammation. Research indicates that NRG4 may enhance browning of white adipose tissue, thereby promoting energy expenditure and improving metabolic health. Its anti-inflammatory properties have also garnered interest in the context of various diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disorders. The recombinant protein form of NRG4 enables researchers to investigate its biological functions and therapeutic effects in a controlled manner, facilitating studies on receptor interactions and downstream signaling pathways. Furthermore, recombinant NRG4 can be utilized in cell-based assays and animal models to elucidate its mechanisms of action, assess its therapeutic efficacy, and explore its potential as a biomarker for metabolic disorders. Overall, the investigation of NRG4 and its recombinant protein represents a promising avenue for advancing our understanding of metabolic regulation and developing new interventions for metabolic diseases.
