  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Neuregulin-3 (NRG3) is a member of the neuregulin family of proteins, which are critical for neural development and synaptic function. NRG3 is primarily involved in the regulation of neuronal signaling and has been linked to several neurodevelopmental disorders, including schizophrenia and autism spectrum disorders. Recent studies have highlighted its pivotal role in promoting the survival and differentiation of neurons, and its involvement in the modulation of neurotransmitter systems. Given its significance in neurobiology, there is a growing interest in the therapeutic potential of NRG3, particularly as a target for drug development aimed at treating psychiatric disorders. The recombinant production of NRG3 protein allows for a detailed exploration of its biological functions, interactions, and mechanisms of action. By studying NRG3 in vitro and in vivo, researchers can elucidate how this protein influences neural circuit formation and function, potentially leading to novel interventions for conditions associated with NRG3 dysregulation. Understanding the structure-function relationship of NRG3, as well as its downstream signaling pathways, is crucial for harnessing its therapeutic potential. As research progresses, NRG3 is poised to be a key player in neuromolecular studies, unlocking new avenues for treatment in neuropsychiatric disorders.
