Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HLA-E*01:03 is a key molecule in the immune system, known for its role in the recognition of conserved viral peptides, particularly from cytomegalovirus (CMV) such as UL40. The recombination of HLA-E*01:03 with β2-microglobulin (B2M) and the UL40 peptide (VMPPRTVIL) is vital for understanding the interactions between innate and adaptive immunity. HLA-E serves as an inhibitory ligand for natural killer (NK) cells and plays a crucial role in presenting non-classical antigens derived from viral infections. The UL40 peptide is particularly significant as it is recognized by HLA-E in the context of CMV infection, influencing the immune response. Studying this monomeric recombinant protein allows researchers to elucidate the structural and functional aspects of HLA-E binding and its implications for immune modulation during viral infections. By characterizing the HLA-E*01:03/B2M/CMV UL40 complex, scientists aim to uncover the mechanisms governing immune tolerance and activation, which may ultimately inform therapeutic strategies for managing CMV-related diseases and enhancing antiviral immunity.
