Calreticulin/CALR

简介
The calreticulin/CALR protein acts as a calcium-binding partner and promotes endoplasmic reticulum folding, assembly, and quality control. It interacts with monoglucosylated glycoproteins and mediates nuclear export of the NR3C1 DNA-binding domain. Calreticulin/CALR Protein, Mouse (GST) is the recombinant mouse-derived Calreticulin/CALR protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-GST labeled tag.

Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse CALR is immobilized at 2.5 µg/mL(100 µL/well) can bind Anti-CALR Antibody. The ED50 for this effect is 20-50 ng/mL. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Mouse CALR is immobilized at 2.5 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Anti-CALR Antibody . The ED50 for this effect is 28.57 ng/mL.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Calreticulin (CALR) is a multifunctional protein primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum, playing crucial roles in calcium homeostasis, chaperone activity, and immune response modulation. The significance of CALR has escalated in recent years due to its association with various diseases, particularly myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). Mutations in the CALR gene are found in a subset of patients with these disorders, contributing to abnormal cell proliferation and survival. Consequently, recombinant CALR proteins have gained attention for their potential in elucidating CALR's biological functions and the pathogenic mechanisms underlying CALR-mutated MPNs. Researchers are investigating the structural and functional properties of recombinant CALR, assessing its role in tumorigenesis and immune evasion, while also exploring its prospect as a therapeutic target. Understanding the dynamics of CALR and its variants provides vital insights into novel treatment strategies for CALR-related diseases, ultimately aiming for improved patient outcomes in hematologic malignancies.
