Gene name
RSK1
-
简介
RSK1 is a kinase downstream of ERK signaling and is critical for mitosis and stress-induced responses. It activates transcription factors (CREB1, ETV1, NR4A1), affecting proliferation, survival and differentiation. RSK1 Protein, Human (sf9) is the recombinant human-derived RSK1 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RSK1 (p90 ribosomal S6 kinase 1) is a crucial serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a vital role in several cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and survival. It is a downstream effector of the MAPK pathway, responding to various extracellular signals such as growth factors and mitogens. Dysregulation of RSK1 has been implicated in various cancers and other diseases, making it a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The study of RSK1 recombinant protein has gained attention as it allows for a better understanding of its molecular mechanisms and functions. This includes investigations into its substrate specificity, enzymatic activity, and interactions with other proteins in signaling pathways. By producing RSK1 as a recombinant protein, researchers can conduct detailed biochemical assays, structural studies, and functional analyses, facilitating the development of inhibitors that could potentially serve as novel cancer therapeutics. Furthermore, understanding RSK1's role in disease contexts, particularly in oncogenesis, is crucial for devising targeted treatments and exploring its potential as a biomarker for disease progression or response to therapy. The ongoing research into RSK1 not only sheds light on its biological significance but also paves the way for innovative approaches in cancer treatment and beyond.
