Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Meprin beta is a type of metalloprotease that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including inflammation and tissue remodeling. It is predominantly expressed in the kidneys, but its presence has also been noted in other tissues, indicating its potential involvement in diverse biological functions. Research has shown that meprin beta is implicated in the activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the processing of extracellular matrix components, which suggests it may contribute to pathologies such as chronic kidney disease and other inflammatory disorders. The recombinant expression of meprin beta is vital for studying its biochemical properties, substrate specificity, and therapeutic potential. By generating recombinant meprin beta proteins, researchers can investigate its enzymatic activity, interactions with inhibitors, and role in disease mechanisms. This recombinant protein also serves as a valuable tool for developing targeted therapies and diagnostic assays, paving the way for new approaches in treating conditions associated with meprin beta dysregulation. Understanding the structure-function relationship of meprin beta through recombinant technologies can further enhance our knowledge of its physiological significance and therapeutic applications.
