简介
PSD95 protein plays a crucial role in PDZ domain binding, enzyme binding and signaling receptor binding. It is a structural component of the postsynaptic density and is involved in the regulation of synaptic transmission and cellular organization. PSD95 Protein, Rat (His) is the recombinant rat-derived PSD95 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PSD-95 (Postsynaptic Density Protein 95) is a crucial scaffolding protein primarily found in the postsynaptic density of neurons, playing a significant role in synaptic signaling and plasticity. Its involvement in anchoring receptors like NMDA and AMPA glutamate receptors makes it essential for synaptic transmission and structural integrity of synapses. Given that alterations in PSD-95 expression or function have been implicated in various neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, autism, and Alzheimer’s disease, the study of PSD-95 recombinant proteins has gained immense importance. Researchers utilize recombinant PSD-95 to investigate its interactions with other proteins, understand its structural properties, and explore its role in synaptic functioning and neurodevelopment. Moreover, the production of recombinant PSD-95 allows for the development of therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring synaptic balance in diseases associated with PSD-95 dysregulation. The ongoing research into PSD-95's structure-function relationship and its implication in neurobiological processes not only deepens our understanding of synaptic mechanisms but also holds potential for novel interventions in treating neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
