简介
The SLK protein is a bifunctional mediator that affects apoptosis and actin stress fiber lysis, suggesting a role in programmed cell death and regulation of cytoskeletal dynamics. The specific molecular mechanisms coordinating these processes need to be further elucidated to facilitate research on the functional significance of SLK. SLK Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived SLK protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The research on SLK (Ste20-like kinase) recombinant protein has gained significant attention due to its crucial role in various cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of cell motility, proliferation, and apoptosis. SLK is a serine/threonine kinase that belongs to the Ste20 family, characterized by its involvement in signaling pathways that govern cytoskeletal dynamics and cell behavior. Dysregulation of SLK activity has been implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis and other diseases characterized by abnormal cell growth and movement. By studying SLK in its recombinant form, researchers aim to elucidate its functional mechanisms, interaction partners, and downstream effects. This includes exploring its potential as a therapeutic target, as modulating SLK activity could lead to novel strategies for controlling cancer progression and improving patient outcomes. Additionally, the recombinant expression of SLK allows for the production of purified protein for structural and functional assays, thereby accelerating the understanding of its role in cellular signaling networks. Hence, the research on SLK recombinant protein not only enhances our knowledge of fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for innovative therapeutic interventions against diseases associated with its dysregulation.
