简介
NEDD8 is an important ubiquitin-like protein that plays a key role in cell cycle regulation and embryogenesis by binding to specific proteins such as cullin and p53/TP53. Its binding to cullin is critical for recruiting E2 enzymes to the cullin-RING-based E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, thereby enabling degradation of regulatory proteins. NEDD8 Protein, Human is the recombinant human-derived NEDD8 protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NEDD8 (neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally downregulated 8) is a small ubiquitin-like protein that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of protein stability, cell cycle progression, and signal transduction. NEDD8 conjugation, or neddylation, is similar to ubiquitination but involves the attachment of NEDD8 to target proteins, thereby influencing their activity and degradation. The study of NEDD8 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in numerous biological functions and its implication in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. NEDD8 modification is particularly important for the proper functioning of the cullin-RING ligase (CRL) complexes, which are key regulators of protein degradation via the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. By understanding the mechanisms of NEDD8 conjugation and its effects on protein function, researchers are looking for potential therapeutic targets that could modulate these processes. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled the production of functional NEDD8 proteins, facilitating in-depth studies of its interactions, structural properties, and roles in cellular pathways. This research not only enhances our understanding of fundamental cellular mechanisms but also opens avenues for the development of innovative approaches in treating diseases characterized by dysregulated neddylation.
