Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PIP4K2B (Phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate 4-kinase type 2 beta) is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the regulation of lipid metabolism and cell signaling pathways. It belongs to the PIP4K family, which is implicated in various cellular processes, including vesicle trafficking, membrane dynamics, and response to growth factors. Dysregulation of PIP4K2B has been associated with several diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic syndromes. Research has shown that PIP4K2B interacts with phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate (PI5P), modifying its levels and thus influencing downstream signaling cascades that affect cell proliferation and apoptosis. Furthermore, studies have indicated that PIP4K2B may contribute to the survival of certain cancer cells by modulating the cellular response to stress and nutrient availability. Given its significant roles in cell physiology and disease, PIP4K2B has emerged as a potential therapeutic target. Understanding the mechanistic pathways involving PIP4K2B could lead to novel intervention strategies for diseases stemming from its dysfunction. Additionally, the development of recombinant PIP4K2B proteins has facilitated detailed biochemical and structural studies, allowing researchers to explore its enzymatic activity, regulation, and interaction with other cellular components. These efforts are crucial for elucidating its biological functions and potential as a drug target, highlighting the importance of continuing research into this enzyme within the wider context of cellular metabolism and disease pathology.
