Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UMP-CMP kinase (CMPK1) is a pivotal enzyme involved in nucleotide metabolism, specifically in the phosphorylation of UMP and CMP to their respective diphosphate forms, UTP and CMP. This activity is crucial for the synthesis of RNA and DNA, making CMPK1 a significant player in cellular proliferation and metabolism. The enzyme has garnered attention due to its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer and viral infections, where nucleotide metabolism is often dysregulated. The study of CMPK1 is further amplified by the need for robust biochemical tools to better understand its role and regulation. Recombinant CMPK1 proteins allow for detailed characterization of the enzyme’s kinetics, substrate specificity, and interactions with other cellular components. Additionally, the availability of pure and active CMPK1 is essential for potential therapeutic applications targeting nucleotide metabolism. Research has demonstrated that manipulating CMPK1 activity can influence cellular responses to different stimuli, providing insights into its regulatory mechanisms. Thus, the development and study of recombinant CMPK1 not only facilitate a deeper understanding of nucleotide metabolism but also hold promise for innovative therapeutic strategies against diseases linked to nucleotide dysregulation.
