简介
CKM is a creatine kinase M-type protein that centrally catalyzes reversible phosphate transfer between ATP and various phosphogens, especially creatine phosphate. As a creatine kinase isoenzyme, CKM plays a crucial role in energy transduction, particularly in tissues with large and fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain, and sperm. Creatine kinase M-type/CKM Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Creatine kinase M-type/CKM protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Creatine kinase M-type (CKM) is an important enzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, primarily found in skeletal and cardiac muscles. It plays a critical role in the ATP-PCr energy system, facilitating the transfer of high-energy phosphate groups from phosphocreatine to adenosine diphosphate (ADP) to generate adenosine triphosphate (ATP), especially during short bursts of high-intensity exercise. Research into CKM has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various physiological and pathological conditions, including muscle disorders, heart diseases, and metabolic syndromes. The ability to produce recombinant CKM protein has facilitated detailed studies on its structure, function, and regulation, allowing scientists to explore its enzymatic mechanisms and interaction with other cellular components. Furthermore, understanding CKM's role can lead to novel therapeutic strategies for energy metabolism-related diseases. The advent of recombinant DNA technology enables the production of high-purity CKM, which is essential for biochemical assays, structural studies, and drug development. This research is vital not only for basic science but also for translational applications in medicine and sports science, emphasizing the importance of CKM in maintaining energy homeostasis in muscle tissues.
