Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    USP9Y

  • 简介

The USP9Y protein is a multifunctional ubiquitin proteolytic enzyme that performs critical processing of ubiquitin precursors and ubiquitinated proteins. Its multifaceted roles make USP9Y a key regulator of protein turnover, preventing degradation by efficiently removing the ubiquitin moiety. USP9Y Protein, Human (GST) is the recombinant human-derived USP9Y protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-GST labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

USP9Y (Ubiquitin-specific peptidase 9, Y-linked) is a member of the deubiquitinating enzyme family, playing a significant role in various cellular processes, including protein degradation, cell signaling, and stress responses. It is located on the Y chromosome and is primarily expressed in male germ cells, suggesting its involvement in male fertility and spermatogenesis. Studies have indicated that USP9Y may modulate the stability of specific proteins by reversing ubiquitination, thereby influencing pathways crucial for cell growth and differentiation. Aberrant expression or mutations in USP9Y have been implicated in various male reproductive disorders and potential links to certain cancers. Due to its unique role in the male reproductive system and its potential as a therapeutic target, the recombinant expression of USP9Y protein has garnered interest. Investigating USP9Y through recombinant protein techniques allows for detailed functional studies, proteomic analyses, and the identification of its interacting partners. This research could further elucidate the biological mechanisms underlying male fertility and provide insights into the development of targeted therapies for related disorders.
