  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Bone Morphogenetic Protein-4 (BMP-4) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily, playing a crucial role in embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and cellular differentiation. Initially identified for its ability to induce bone formation, BMP-4 has garnered significant attention in developmental biology and regenerative medicine due to its diverse functions in modulating cell fate and tissue patterning. Research has shown that BMP-4 is involved in various physiological processes, including angiogenesis, neurogenesis, and the maintenance of stem cell pluripotency. The recombinant production of BMP-4 protein has enabled scientists to investigate its biological activities more thoroughly, facilitating studies related to its therapeutic potential in bone repair and other tissue-engineering applications. Additionally, BMP-4's regulatory role in key signaling pathways, such as the notochord and neuroectodermal development, highlights its importance in understanding congenital disorders and diseases. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology have allowed for the optimization of BMP-4 production and purification, thereby enhancing its application in clinical settings. Overall, the ongoing research into BMP-4 recombinant protein aims to unlock its full therapeutic potential and elucidate its complex interactions within biological systems, paving the way for innovative treatments in regenerative medicine.
