  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CEACAM-8, also known as CD66b, is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family, primarily expressed on the surface of neutrophils and myeloid cells. This glycoprotein plays a critical role in immune responses, particularly in mediating leukocyte adhesion, activation, and migration, thereby influencing inflammatory processes. Research has shown that CEACAM-8/CD66b is involved in various conditions, including infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, making it a significant focus in immunology and therapeutic development. The recombinant protein form of CEACAM-8/CD66b offers valuable opportunities for studying its biological functions and mechanisms of action in a controlled environment. By producing this protein in a recombinant manner, researchers can investigate its interactions with ligands and receptors, assess its role in neutrophil function, and explore its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in various diseases. Furthermore, understanding the structure-function relationship of CEACAM-8/CD66b through recombinant technology can aid in the design of novel strategies to modulate immune responses, paving the way for innovative treatments for inflammatory and hematological disorders. Consequently, the study of recombinant CEACAM-8/CD66b has significant implications not only for fundamental immunology but also for clinical applications in enhancing immune therapies and improving patient outcomes.
