Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NAALADL2 (N-acetylated alpha-linked acidic dipeptidase-like protein 2) is a membrane-bound protein that is part of the M20 peptidase family, which is implicated in various physiological processes. Research into NAALADL2 has gained momentum due to its potential roles in neurodevelopment and neurodegenerative diseases, as it shares structural similarities with other neuropeptide-degrading enzymes, like NAALADase. Studies suggest that NAALADL2 may be involved in the metabolism of neuropeptides and neurotransmitters, influencing synaptic plasticity and cognitive functions. Moreover, aberrations in NAALADL2 expression levels have been associated with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, prompting investigations into its role as a therapeutic target. The recombinant expression of NAALADL2 allows for a deeper understanding of its function and interactions at the molecular level, enabling the exploration of its enzymatic activity and potential inhibitory compounds. This research could provide insights into novel therapeutic strategies aimed at modulating neuropeptide signaling pathways, potentially leading to advancements in treatments for cognitive decline and related disorders.
