  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GSTP1 (Glutathione S-Transferase Pi 1) is a member of the glutathione S-transferase (GST) family, which plays a crucial role in cellular detoxification processes by catalyzing the conjugation of glutathione to a variety of toxic compounds, including xenobiotics and endogenous metabolites. Research into GSTP1 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in drug metabolism, cancer progression, and resistance to chemotherapy. Elevated levels of GSTP1 have been detected in various cancers, making it a potential biomarker for tumor diagnosis and prognosis. Moreover, its role in protecting cells from oxidative stress implicates GSTP1 in various pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and inflammatory disorders. The recombinant expression of GSTP1 allows for detailed studies into its enzymatic function, structure, and interaction with substrates and inhibitors, facilitating the development of GSTP1-targeted therapeutics. Understanding the mechanisms by which GSTP1 contributes to drug resistance and cancer biology is critical for improving treatment strategies and patient outcomes in cancer therapy.
