  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PRKG1, or Protein Kinase cGMP-Dependent 1, is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including vasodilation, platelet function, and neuronal signaling. The significance of PRKG1 lies in its mediation of the intracellular effects of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), a second messenger that regulates various physiological functions. Dysregulation of PRKG1 has been implicated in numerous pathological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative disorders, highlighting the importance of understanding its molecular mechanisms. Research on recombinant PRKG1 protein has gained momentum, focusing on its structural biology, enzymatic activity, and interaction with other cellular partners. By producing and studying PRKG1 in a recombinant form, researchers aim to elucidate its functional dynamics and role in signaling pathways, which could pave the way for therapeutic interventions targeting PRKG1-related diseases. This research is essential for discovering novel drug targets and understanding the molecular basis of cGMP signaling, ultimately contributing to improved disease management strategies.
