简介
The GALNT7 protein serves as an indispensable glycopeptidyl transferase for O-linked oligosaccharide biosynthesis. Its enzymatic activity involves catalyzing the transfer of N-acetyl-D-galactosamine residues to pre-existing glycosylated peptides. GALNT7 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived GALNT7 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GALNT7, or UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase 7, is a member of the GALNT family of enzymes involved in the initiation of O-linked glycosylation, a critical post-translational modification that affects protein stability, function, and cellular interactions. Research into GALNT7 has gained momentum due to its potential role in various biological processes and diseases, including cancer progression and developmental disorders. The gene encoding GALNT7 is located on chromosome 17 and is expressed in several tissues, indicating its importance in diverse physiological contexts. Recombinant GALNT7 protein produced in vitro allows for detailed studies into its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and structural characteristics, facilitating a deeper understanding of glycosylation mechanisms. Additionally, exploring the impact of GALNT7 on cell signaling pathways may uncover new therapeutic targets. Current studies are focusing on the implications of GALNT7 dysregulation in pathologies, emphasizing the need for advanced methods to analyze its function and interactions with other biomolecules in human health and disease.
