简介
Semaphorin-4A/SEMA4A is the cell surface receptor for PLXNB1, PLXNB2, PLXNB3, and PLXND1 and is essential for intercellular signaling. It induces TIMD2 phosphorylation, inhibits angiogenesis, and collapses axonal growth cones. Semaphorin-4A/SEMA4A Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Semaphorin-4A/SEMA4A protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Semaphorin-4A (SEMA4A) is a member of the semaphorin family of proteins, which are known to play critical roles in various biological processes, including neuronal development, immune responses, and cancer progression. This protein acts primarily as a guidance cue during axon growth and neuronal connectivity, facilitating the proper formation of neural circuits. Recent research has highlighted the involvement of SEMA4A in immune system regulation, where it influences T cell activation and differentiation, suggesting its potential role as a therapeutic target in autoimmune diseases and cancers. Due to its diverse functional implications, recombinant SEMA4A proteins have become valuable tools for functional studies and therapeutic applications. Scientists are investigating the molecular mechanisms through which SEMA4A exerts its effects on cell signaling pathways, aiming to understand its role in promoting or inhibiting cellular responses. By producing and characterizing recombinant SEMA4A, researchers hope to elucidate its biological activities and interactions with specific receptors, contributing to the development of novel strategies for manipulating immune responses and enhancing neuronal repair mechanisms. This line of research is particularly relevant in the context of neurodegenerative diseases and cancer therapy, where modulating SEMA4A activity could lead to innovative treatment options. Overall, the study of recombinant SEMA4A holds promise for advancing our understanding of its biological functions and potential therapeutic applications in various fields of medicine.
