Biological Activity
1.The specific activity was determined to be > 20 nmol/min/mg using synthetic Phospho-Glycogen Synthase Peptide-2 (YRRAAVPPSPSLSRHSSPHQpSEDEEE) as substrate. 2. Immobilized GSK-3 beta Protein, Mouse (sf9, His) at 10 μg/mL (100 μl/well) can bind human HG3C-CTNNB1 and the EC50 is 0.15-0.35 μg/mL. 3. Measured by its ability to catalyze 0.2 mg/mL GSK3 substrate and 25 μM ATP that incubate at room temperature for 40 mins. The specific activity is 172.43 nmo/min/mg.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GSK-3 beta (Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta) is a crucial serine/threonine kinase involved in various cellular processes, including glycogen metabolism, cell differentiation, and apoptosis. Its dysregulation is associated with several diseases, particularly neurodegenerative disorders, diabetes, and cancer. Given its pivotal role in the Wnt signaling pathway and regulation of key proteins such as β-catenin, GSK-3 beta has become a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The study of recombinant GSK-3 beta proteins enables researchers to investigate its biochemical properties, interactions with substrates, and the effects of potential inhibitors. Through the expression and purification of recombinant GSK-3 beta, scientists can gain insights into its functional mechanisms and explore the development of targeted therapies. The advancements in structural biology, including X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopy, have further facilitated a deeper understanding of GSK-3 beta's active site and regulatory domains. This knowledge is crucial for identifying small molecules or biologics that can modulate its activity for therapeutic purposes. Consequently, the investigation of recombinant GSK-3 beta is not only vital for deciphering its biological roles but also for paving the way towards innovative treatments for diseases linked to its malfunction.
