  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Thrombospondin-1 (THBS1) is a multifaceted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis. It is primarily expressed by platelets and has been implicated in wound healing, immune response, and tumor progression. Given its significant involvement in these physiological and pathological processes, THBS1 has garnered considerable attention as a potential therapeutic target in cancer and vascular diseases. The reconstruction of THBS1 protein through recombinant DNA technology has provided researchers with valuable tools to study its structural and functional properties in greater detail. This approach allows for the generation of large quantities of pure, biologically active THBS1 for in vitro and in vivo studies. Additionally, recombinant THBS1 can be utilized in functional assays to decipher its interactions with other proteins and cells, thereby elucidating its role in various signaling pathways. Understanding the mechanisms by which THBS1 exerts its effects on cellular behaviors such as migration and proliferation may lead to novel interventions for diseases characterized by abnormal angiogenesis and cell growth. Furthermore, the potential for THBS1 to serve as a biomarker for certain diseases or as a therapeutic agent itself opens new avenues for research and clinical applications. As such, the study of recombinant THBS1 protein not only enhances our understanding of its biological functions but also paves the way for innovative treatment strategies.
