简介
PRTN3 is a serine protease that broadly targets elastin, fibronectin, laminin, vitronectin, and collagen types I, III, and IV in vitro, playing a crucial role in extracellular matrix degradation. It modulates endothelial cell barrier function by cleaving and activating the receptor F2RL1/PAR-2 and enhances vascular integrity during neutrophil transendothelial migration.PRTN3 Protein, Human (HEK293, C-His) is the recombinant human-derived PRTN3 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRTN3 (Proteinase 3) is a serine protease that plays a significant role in various physiological and pathological processes, particularly in the immune system and inflammatory responses. It is predominantly expressed in neutrophils and is thought to be involved in the proteolytic activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and in the defense against microbial infections. Dysregulation of PRTN3 has been implicated in several diseases, including autoimmune disorders, where it can contribute to inflammation and tissue damage. Moreover, PRTN3 has garnered attention for its association with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA) in vasculitis, a class of autoimmune diseases characterized by inflammation of blood vessels. Recent research has focused on elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying PRTN3's functions, exploring its potential as a biomarker for disease diagnosis, and investigating its role as a therapeutic target. The ability to produce recombinant PRTN3 has facilitated studies on its structure, function, and interactions with other proteins, thus providing insights into its regulatory roles in immune responses and its potential implications in drug development for inflammatory diseases. Understanding the multifaceted roles of PRTN3 will not only enhance the knowledge of immune regulation but may also lead to innovative therapeutic strategies for diseases where PRTN3 is involved.
