简介
VEGFA Protein is a vascular endothelial growth factor that is active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth. VEGFA Protein induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits cell apoptosis, and induces vascular permeability. VEGFA Protein consists of 214 amino acids (M1-R214). VEGF-A Protein, Canine (HEK293) is the recombinant canine-derived VEGF-A protein, expressed by HEK293 , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A) is a pivotal signaling protein that plays a critical role in angiogenesis, vasculogenesis, and endothelial cell function. Its primary function is to stimulate the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, thereby facilitating the formation of new blood vessels. Research on VEGF-A has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including development, wound healing, and cancer progression. Elevated levels of VEGF-A are often associated with tumor growth and metastasis, making it a key target in cancer therapy. Furthermore, VEGF-A is implicated in ocular diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, where aberrant angiogenesis leads to vision loss. Studies have shown that recombinant VEGF-A proteins can be utilized to investigate its mechanisms of action and the effects of its inhibition or overexpression in cellular models. Additionally, therapeutic strategies involving VEGF-A neutralizing antibodies or small molecule inhibitors are under exploration to manage diseases characterized by excessive angiogenesis. Given these multifaceted roles, the characterization of VEGF-A recombinant proteins is essential for developing targeted therapies and enhancing our understanding of angiogenic processes in health and disease, thus highlighting the significance of ongoing research in this domain.
