简介
Ribonuclease R (RNase R) is a 3'-5' exoribonuclease crucial for structured RNA maturation, degrading rRNAs, tRNAs, and SsrA/tmRNA. It modulates ompA mRNA stability in the stationary phase, exhibiting processive activity and helicase function. RNase R, along with PNPase, ensures rRNA quality during steady-state growth and contributes to virulence gene expression in E. coli. Ribonuclease R (rnr) protein, E.coli (His) is the recombinant E. coli-derived Ribonuclease R, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Ribonuclease R (Rnr), an essential enzyme found in bacteria, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism by degrading structured RNA substrates and facilitating the turnover of unstable RNA molecules. This enzyme is part of the ribonuclease family and is characterized by its ability to hydrolyze RNA through a process that involves the removal of 3' terminal extensions, thereby contributing to RNA quality control and regulation. Research into Rnr has gained momentum due to its potential implications in understanding bacterial RNA degradation pathways, its role in stress response, and its influence on bacterial growth and virulence. The study of recombinant Rnr protein has provided insights into its enzymatic properties, structure-function relationships, and interactions with other cellular components. As antibiotic resistance in bacteria becomes an increasingly pressing global health issue, understanding the mechanisms underlying RNA degradation by Rnr could offer novel therapeutic targets. Furthermore, recombinant forms of Rnr can be utilized in various biotechnological applications, including RNA manipulation and the development of RNA-based therapeutics. Overall, the investigation of Rnr not only enhances our understanding of fundamental RNA biology but also paves the way for innovative strategies in combating bacterial infections.
