简介
The BMP-9/GDF-2 protein is a potent inhibitor of angiogenesis that selectively signals through AVRL1 in endothelial cells. Its signaling pathway requires the TGF-β coreceptor endoglin/ENG to effectively activate SMAD1. GDF-2/BMP-9 Protein, Human (P. pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived GDF-2 protein, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GDF-2 (Growth Differentiation Factor 2), also known as BMP-9 (Bone Morphogenetic Protein 9), is a member of the TGF-β superfamily and plays a critical role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, osteogenesis, and tissue regeneration. Encoded by the GDF-2 gene, BMP-9 is predominantly expressed in the liver and has been shown to promote the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts, thus being crucial for bone formation. Recent studies have highlighted its potential in treating bone-related disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and liver fibrosis due to its regenerative properties. The recombinant protein GDF-2/BMP-9 has gained significant attention in the field of regenerative medicine, as it exhibits potent osteoinductive activity and can enhance angiogenesis. As research continues, the therapeutic implications of GDF-2/BMP-9 in clinical settings are being explored, particularly in bone repair and regeneration, making it a promising candidate for innovative therapeutic approaches in orthopedics and tissue engineering.
