Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC25A37, also known as mitochondrial iron transporter 1 (MIT1), plays a critical role in maintaining mitochondrial iron homeostasis and cellular iron metabolism. Dysregulation of iron transport within mitochondria can lead to various pathophysiological conditions, including neurodegeneration, anemia, and mitochondrial diseases. The study of SLC25A37 is essential for understanding the mechanisms underlying these disorders and for developing potential therapeutic strategies. Recent research has focused on the characterization of SLC25A37 through recombinant protein expression, which allows for the investigation of its functional properties, interaction with iron, and transport mechanisms. Recombinant SLC25A37 proteins, produced in suitable expression systems, enable detailed biochemical assays, structural analyses, and functional studies, revealing insights into how this transporter operates at a molecular level. The elucidation of these mechanisms is vital, as it could pave the way for novel interventions targeting mitochondrial iron dysregulation. Current studies emphasize the importance of SLC25A37 in iron metabolism and its potential impact on various diseases, highlighting the need for continued research in this area to uncover the therapeutic potential of targeting SLC25A37 pathways.
