IL-2R beta & IL-2R gamma Heterodimer

简介
IL-2R beta (CD122) and IL-2Rγ (CD132), type Ⅰ cytokine receptors expressed on T lymphocytes, are receptors for IL-2 (Kd: 1 nM for IL-2R beta approximately)[1]. IL-2R beta mediates T cell immune responses. IL-2Rγ mediates inflammatory response[2] IL-2Rβ and IL-2Rγ heterodimer binds to IL-2 with intermediate affinity[6]. IL-2R beta & IL-2R gamma Heterodimer Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant human IL-2R beta (A27-D239) and IL-2R gamma (L23-A262) heterodimer complex, with a C-Terminal hFc tag, which is produced in HEK293 cells.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-2 receptor (IL-2R) is a crucial component of the immune system, playing a significant role in T-cell proliferation, activation, and survival. The IL-2 receptor is composed of three subunits: alpha (CD25), beta (CD122), and gamma (CD132). The heterodimer formed by the IL-2R beta (CD122) and gamma (CD132) subunits is essential for high-affinity binding of interleukin-2 (IL-2). This heterodimer is particularly important in mediating the effects of IL-2 on immune responses, including the enhancement of T-cell growth and differentiation. In recent years, the recombinant expression of the IL-2R beta and gamma heterodimer has gained attention for its potential applications in therapeutic interventions and immunological studies. By producing this heterodimeric protein in a recombinant system, researchers can investigate its structural and functional properties, as well as its interaction with IL-2 and other cytokines. Understanding the detailed mechanism of IL-2 signaling through this heterodimer can pave the way for designing targeted therapies for autoimmune diseases, cancers, and other immune-related disorders. The development of reliable methods for the production and purification of this recombinant protein is key to advancing the study of IL-2R’s role in immune regulation, providing valuable insights that could lead to novel therapeutic strategies.
