  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

OSMR (oncostatin M receptor) is a member of the cytokine receptor family that is involved in various physiological processes, including hematopoiesis and inflammation. Its ligand, oncostatin M (OSM), plays a significant role in cell signaling pathways that influence cell growth, differentiation, and immune responses. The OSMR beta subunit is particularly important as it forms complexes with other receptor subunits to mediate these signaling effects. Research has shown that OSMR beta is implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer, where it may contribute to tumor progression and metastasis. Given its crucial role in these biological processes, OSMR beta represents a potential target for therapeutic intervention. To better understand its function and develop strategies for modulation, scientists are focusing on the production of recombinant OSMR beta proteins. These recombinant proteins can be utilized in various applications, including the study of receptor signaling pathways, the development of OSMR-targeted drugs, and the exploration of its role in disease mechanisms. By characterizing the properties and functions of OSMR beta through recombinant technology, researchers aim to uncover insights that could lead to novel therapeutic approaches for diseases associated with aberrant OSM signaling.
