简介
SCG3/Secretogranin-3 protein is a member of the granulin family and plays a critical regulatory role in the biogenesis of secretory granules. As a sorting receptor for intragranule proteins such as chromogranin A/CHGA, SCG3 contributes to granule formation dynamics.SCG3/Secretogranin-3 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived SCG3/Secretogranin-3 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Secretogranin-3 (SCG3), a member of the secretogranin family of proteins, is primarily involved in the neuroendocrine secretory pathway and plays a crucial role in the storage and release of hormones and neuropeptides. As a prohormone convertase substrate, SCG3 is processed into various bioactive peptides, which are implicated in several physiological processes, including neuroprotection and neurotransmission. Abnormal expression of SCG3 has been associated with various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and certain cancers, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for disease progression. The research on recombinant SCG3 protein involves its production and characterization to better understand its biological functions and potential therapeutic applications. The recombinant form allows for the investigation of SCG3’s structure-function relationships, interaction with other proteins, and its role in cellular signaling pathways. Additionally, studying SCG3 in a controlled environment can help elucidate its mechanisms in health and disease, paving the way for the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies targeting SCG3-related pathways. Overall, the exploration of SCG3 as a recombinant protein offers significant insights into neuroendocrine functions and their implications in various health conditions.
