Gene name
p67phox
-
简介
p67phox is central to the activation of NADPH oxidase, which is critical for superoxide production. p67phox forms heterodimers with CYBA and CYBB and interacts with NCF4 and NCF1 to establish important connections within the complex. p67phox Protein, Human (sf9) is the recombinant human-derived p67phox protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells, with tag free and with additional two amino acids (Gly & Pro) at the N-terminus.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
p67phox is a critical regulatory protein that plays a significant role in the assembly and activation of the NADPH oxidase complex, which is essential for reactive oxygen species (ROS) production in phagocytic immune cells. This complex is integral to the body’s defense mechanisms, allowing cells to combat pathogens through oxidative bursts. Research into the recombinant form of p67phox has gained momentum as scientists seek to understand its structural and functional dynamics, particularly in the context of various diseases characterized by oxidative stress, such as chronic inflammation, neurodegenerative conditions, and cancer. The generation of recombinant p67phox enables detailed biochemical studies, including protein-protein interactions and enzymatic activity assessments, which are crucial for unraveling its role in cellular signaling and immune responses. Moreover, investigating the modulation of p67phox activity could provide insights into therapeutic targets for enhancing or inhibiting ROS production in pathological conditions. Understanding how p67phox contributes to NADPH oxidase regulation could lead to novel strategies for modulating immune responses and developing innovative treatments for diseases linked to oxidative stress. The ongoing research surrounding recombinant p67phox thus holds significant promise for both basic science and clinical applications, as it may elucidate new avenues for intervention in oxidative stress-related disorders.
