简介
XG/Xg blood group Protein is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the CD99 family. It is a erythrocyte membrane protein that is used as the basis of the Xg blood group system. XG/Xg blood group Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived XG/Xg blood group protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-mFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The XG blood group system is a lesser-known blood group that is characterized by the presence of the XG protein, which is encoded by the XG gene located on the X chromosome. In humans, the XG system is particularly interesting because it exhibits polymorphism and can lead to variations in blood group typing and transfusion compatibility. Research into XG/Xg blood group recombinant proteins has emerged due to their potential implications in transfusion medicine, immunohematology, and genetic studies. The XG protein is believed to play a role in the immune response, and its expression may vary between individuals, which can influence susceptibility to certain diseases or the effectiveness of immunizations. Furthermore, understanding the molecular structure and function of XG proteins can aid in the development of targeted therapies and improve the safety and efficacy of blood transfusions. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology have facilitated the production of these proteins in vitro, allowing for the study of their interactions and functionality in detail. This highlights the importance of ongoing research into the XG blood group system to elucidate its biological significance and clinical relevance in diverse populations, as well as to enhance our understanding of blood group genetics as a whole.
