Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    VSIG1

  • 简介

VSIG1 Protein is a member of the adhesion molecule (JAM) family and is expressed in the normal stomach and testes, as well as in cancers of the stomach, esophagus, and ovary. VSIG1 Protein mediates the activation of Wnt/尾-catenin signaling pathway, which has tumor inhibition function and reduces the proliferation and migration ability of tumor cells. VSIG1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived VSIG1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

VSIG1 (V-set and immunoglobulin domain containing 1) is a recently identified protein that is part of the immunoglobulin superfamily, which plays a crucial role in immune regulation. Research into VSIG1 has gained momentum due to its association with various biological processes, including immune response modulation and potential implications in autoimmune diseases and cancer. VSIG1 is expressed in several immune cells, and its interaction with specific receptors suggests a role in cell signaling pathways that could influence T cell activation and regulation. The protein's unique structural features and its expression patterns in different tissues highlight its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on understanding the mechanisms through which VSIG1 exerts its effects on immune cells and investigating its possible applications in developing novel treatments. Given the increasing prevalence of immune-related disorders, elucidating the biological functions and regulatory mechanisms of VSIG1 is of paramount importance in advancing our knowledge of immune system dynamics and designing innovative strategies for clinical intervention. The exploration of VSIG1 is not only critical for basic immunology but also holds promise for its application in immunotherapy and personalized medicine, making it a significant focus of ongoing research in the field of immunology and beyond.
