  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PGLYRP2, also known as Peptidoglycan Recognition Protein-Like 2 (PGRP-L), is a member of the PGRP family, which plays a crucial role in the innate immune response by recognizing bacterial peptidoglycans. This protein is predominantly expressed in the gastrointestinal tract and is believed to be involved in maintaining gut microbiota homeostasis and mediating immune responses against microbial pathogens. Research has shown that PGLYRP2 exhibits antimicrobial properties, helping to inhibit bacterial growth and modulate inflammation. Given its significance in immune regulation, PGLYRP2 has attracted attention as a potential therapeutic target for various inflammatory diseases and infections. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of recombinant PGLYRP2 to understand its mechanism of action, evaluate its potential in drug development, and explore its implications in conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other gastrointestinal disorders. Additionally, the exploration of recombinant PGLYRP2's interactions with bacterial components and immune cells could provide insights into novel strategies for enhancing host defense mechanisms, thereby offering new avenues for clinical applications.
