IFIH1

简介
The IFIH1 protein is an innate immune receptor that detects viral nucleic acids and triggers an antiviral response. IFIH1 is critical for type I interferon induction and recognizes ligands such as mRNA lacking 2'-O-methylation and long double-stranded RNA. IFIH1 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived IFIH1 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IFIH1, also known as interferon-induced with helicase C domain 1, plays a critical role in the innate immune response, acting as a cytosolic pattern recognition receptor that detects viral RNA. Its function is pivotal in the activation of type I interferons and other pro-inflammatory cytokines during viral infections. Due to its central involvement in immune modulation, IFIH1 has garnered attention in the context of various autoimmune diseases, particularly type 1 diabetes and systemic lupus erythematosus, as genetic polymorphisms in the IFIH1 gene have been associated with increased susceptibility to these disorders. Moreover, the role of IFIH1 in sensing viral infections has made it a potential target for antiviral strategies. The study of IFIH1 recombinant proteins has provided insights into its structure and function, facilitating the understanding of its interactions with viral components and cellular signaling pathways. Characterizing these proteins can help elucidate the mechanisms underlying the immune response and may offer new approaches for therapeutic interventions in autoimmune diseases and viral infections.
