  • Gene name

    CLEC12A/MICL

  • 简介

CLEC12A/MICL (C-type lectin domain family 12 member A/myelosuppressive C-type lectin-like receptor) is a cell surface receptor that acts as a modulator of signaling cascades, specifically promoting target MAP kinases Protease. CLEC12A/MICL Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CLEC12A/MICL protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CLEC12A, also known as MICL (Myeloid Inhibitory C-Type Lectin-like protein), is a type of C-type lectin receptor predominantly expressed on myeloid cells, including monocytes and dendritic cells. Its role in the immune system has garnered significant attention due to its potential involvement in modulating immune responses and influencing the behavior of various myeloid lineage cells. The research surrounding CLEC12A/MICL focuses on its function as an inhibitory receptor, which may play a critical role in dampening inflammatory responses and maintaining immune homeostasis. Studies have indicated that CLEC12A interacts with specific ligands on pathogens, which can trigger immune cell activation or inhibition depending on the context. Understanding the mechanisms underlying CLEC12A signaling pathways could unveil new therapeutic avenues for diseases characterized by dysregulated immune responses, such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and infections. Additionally, the exploration of CLEC12A/MICL as a biomarker for certain diseases holds promise for diagnostic and prognostic applications. Researchers are actively investigating the potential of CLEC12A in targeted immunotherapy, aiming to harness its regulatory functions to enhance anti-tumor immunity while minimizing collateral damage to healthy tissues. Overall, the study of CLEC12A/MICL recombinants and their signaling mechanisms is a burgeoning area of research with implications for both basic immunology and clinical applications.
