Gene name
DMBT1

简介
The DMBT1 protein is a potential tumor suppressor in a variety of cancers and affects a variety of biological processes. It contributes to mucosal and cellular immune defense, epithelial differentiation, and serves as an opsonin receptor for SFTPD and SPAR in macrophages. DMBT1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived DMBT1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DMBT1 (Deleted in Malignant Brain Tumors 1) is a large, glycoprotein involved in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, tumor suppression, and immune response. Initially identified in studies of malignant brain tumors, DMBT1 has garnered attention for its potential role in cancer biology and as a biomarker for certain malignancies. Research indicates that DMBT1 expression is altered in various tumors, suggesting a correlation between its levels and cancer progression. Furthermore, due to its involvement in mucosal immunity and tissue repair, DMBT1 has implications in developmental biology and inflammatory diseases. Studies have focused on the characterization of DMBT1 as a recombinant protein, enabling analysis of its structural properties and functional assays. Recombination techniques facilitate the production of DMBT1 in controlled environments, allowing researchers to explore its interactions with other cellular components and its potential therapeutic applications. Understanding DMBT1’s biochemical pathways could illuminate new avenues for targeted therapies in oncology and regenerative medicine, making it a significant focus of ongoing research in both fundamental and applied biomedical sciences.
