简介
The UROIIIS protein is a key catalyst in biochemical processes, specifically catalyzing the cyclization of hydroxymethyl bixane, a linear tetrapyrrole, to form macrocyclic uroporphyrinogen III. This enzymatic step serves as a critical branching point leading to various subpathways responsible for the synthesis of different porphyrins. UROIIIS Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived UROIIIS protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
UROIIIS, or Uroporphyrinogen III synthase, is a critical enzyme in the heme biosynthesis pathway, catalyzing the conversion of porphobilinogen to uroporphyrinogen III. This enzyme plays a pivotal role in the production of heme, an essential component of hemoglobin, as well as other hemoproteins involved in vital biological processes. Deficiencies or mutations in the UROIIIS gene can lead to disorders such as porphyrias, which are characterized by the accumulation of porphyrins and their precursors, resulting in a variety of clinical manifestations, including photosensitivity and neurovisceral attacks. The study of UROIIIS recombinant proteins has garnered attention due to their potential therapeutic implications, including the development of enzyme replacement therapies for patients with UROIIIS deficiency. Additionally, understanding the structural and functional properties of UROIIIS can provide insights into the enzyme's mechanism and regulation, facilitating drug design efforts aimed at modulating its activity. Research on UROIIIS recombinant proteins not only enhances our comprehension of heme biosynthesis but also opens up avenues for novel therapeutic strategies to address related metabolic disorders, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes in conditions associated with porphyrin metabolism.
