Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
REG-4, also known as Regenerating Islet-Derived 4, is a member of the Reg family of proteins that has garnered significant interest in recent years due to its potential roles in various biological processes. Initially identified as a secretory protein in the pancreas, REG-4 is primarily expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly in the intestinal epithelium, where it is believed to play a crucial role in mucosal healing and regeneration. Studies have suggested that REG-4 is involved in inflammatory responses and may act as a mediator in the progression of diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colorectal cancer. The protein's ability to promote cell proliferation and survival has led researchers to explore its therapeutic potential, particularly as a biomarker for disease diagnosis and a target for novel treatment strategies. Furthermore, REG-4's regulatory functions in the immune response and tissue repair highlight its importance in maintaining intestinal homeostasis. As research continues to unravel the mechanisms underlying REG-4's diverse functions, its implications for both basic science and clinical applications are becoming increasingly apparent, making it a promising candidate for further investigation in regenerative medicine and oncology.
