简介
MBIP protein inhibits MAP3K12 activity and prevents activation of the JNK/SAPK pathway. It is an important component of the ATAC complex, a histone acetyltransferase complex targeting histones H3 and H4. MBIP Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived MBIP protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
MBIP (Mcl-1 Binding Protein) is a significant protein that plays a crucial role in modulating various cellular processes, including apoptosis, cell proliferation, and stress responses. Research has indicated that MBIP interacts with Mcl-1, an anti-apoptotic member of the Bcl-2 family, thereby influencing the survival of cells, particularly in the context of cancer. The dysregulation of MBIP and its related pathways has been implicated in several malignancies, making it a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Studies have shown that the overexpression or altered function of MBIP can lead to tumorigenesis, highlighting its importance in cancer biology. Understanding the structural and functional aspects of MBIP, including its interactions with other proteins and its regulatory mechanisms, is vital for the development of targeted therapies aimed at restoring normal apoptotic processes in cancer cells. Recent advances in recombinant protein technology have enabled researchers to produce MBIP in vitro, facilitating detailed studies on its functional properties, interaction with Mcl-1, and potential role in drug resistance. This research holds promise for elucidating the precise mechanisms underlying MBIP’s role in cancer progression and offers insights into novel strategies for cancer treatment by manipulating apoptosis through MBIP modulation.
