Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Neurocalcin-delta (NCALD) is a member of the neurocalcin family, proteins characterized by their calcium-binding abilities and potential roles in neuronal signaling and synaptic functions. Initially studied for its involvement in neuronal development and differentiation, NCALD has garnered interest for its potential implications in neurodegenerative diseases and brain disorders. Research indicates that NCALD is highly expressed in the brain and plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis, which is vital for various neuronal functions, including neurotransmitter release and synaptic plasticity. The recombinant expression of NCALD has enabled scientists to investigate its structural and functional properties in vitro, leading to a deeper understanding of its mechanisms of action. With the rising prevalence of neurological disorders linked to calcium dysregulation, such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, exploring the functional dynamics of NCALD can aid in the development of therapeutic approaches. Moreover, studying NCALD in different model systems may uncover its potential as a biomarker for early diagnosis or progression of neurological conditions. The recombination technology has provided a powerful platform for producing NCALD, facilitating studies on its interactions, physiological roles, and therapeutic possibilities, thus opening new avenues for neurobiology research.
