  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TPBG (Trophectoderm Protein Beta Gene) and its variant 5T4 are tumor-associated antigens that have garnered significant attention in cancer research. Initially identified as a marker for the trophoblast tissue during early embryonic development, TPBG/5T4 expression has been found to be upregulated in various malignancies, including colorectal, lung, and breast cancers. This aberrant expression pattern makes TPBG/5T4 a promising target for immunotherapy and cancer diagnostics. Researchers have been investigating its role in tumorigenesis, particularly how it contributes to the immune evasion of cancer cells. Additionally, studies are focused on developing monoclonal antibodies and vaccines aimed at enhancing the immune response against tumors expressing TPBG/5T4. The potential for TPBG/5T4 to serve as both a biomarker for early detection and a target for targeted therapy underlines its significance in the development of personalized cancer treatment strategies. Ongoing research aims to elucidate the mechanisms governing TPBG/5T4 expression in tumors, explore its interaction with various immune pathways, and assess its efficacy in clinical settings. Collectively, this line of research holds the promise of improving therapeutic outcomes for patients with cancers that exhibit TPBG/5T4 expression.
