  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DEP-1, also known as CD148, is a receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatase that plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell signaling, proliferation, and differentiation. It is predominantly expressed in hematopoietic and endothelial cells, where it has been implicated in the regulation of immune responses and oncogenic signaling pathways. Studies have shown that DEP-1/CD148 acts as a negative regulator of cell signaling by dephosphorylating key tyrosine residues on target proteins, which can influence cell growth and survival. Abnormal expression or activity of DEP-1 has been linked to several diseases, including cancer, where it can affect tumor progression and metastasis. Researchers have focused on characterizing the molecular mechanisms underlying DEP-1/CD148 function, as well as its potential as a therapeutic target. Recombinant forms of this protein have been developed to facilitate detailed studies on its enzymatic activity and interactions with other signaling molecules in cellular contexts, providing insights into its role in both normal physiology and pathological conditions. This research is essential for understanding how DEP-1/CD148 contributes to disease mechanisms and for exploring its potential in drug development and therapeutic interventions.
