IL-21R

简介
The IL-21R protein is specifically designed for IL-21 and forms a heterodimeric complex with the common γ subunit, which is critical for signal transduction. This receptor complex promotes interaction with Janus kinase 1 (JAK1), initiating downstream signaling events in response to interleukin-21. IL-21R Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived IL-21R protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-21 receptor (IL-21R) is a critical component of the immune system, primarily functioning as a receptor for interleukin-21 (IL-21), a cytokine produced by T follicular helper cells. The IL-21/IL-21R signaling pathway plays a significant role in the regulation of various immune responses, including B cell maturation, proliferation, and antibody production, which are vital for effective humoral immunity. Dysregulation of this pathway has been linked to numerous autoimmune diseases, malignancies, and infections, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Research into IL-21R has intensified in recent years, focusing on its structural biology, signaling mechanisms, and potential as an intervention point for diseases characterized by immune system dysfunction. The development of recombinant IL-21R proteins is particularly noteworthy, as these proteins can be used as tools for elucidating the receptor's biology, exploring the nuances of IL-21 signaling, and ultimately assessing their therapeutic efficacy in treating various immune-related conditions. Engineering soluble forms of IL-21R has facilitated the study of its ligand interactions and downstream signaling pathways, opening new avenues for understanding immune regulation and developing innovative treatments. Overall, the exploration of IL-21R and its signaling pathways represents a promising area of research with implications for improving therapeutic strategies in immunology.
