简介
BMPR1A/ALK-3 protein (ACVRLK3) is the receptor bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) type I receptors, widely expressed in tissues[1]. BMPR1A/ALK-3 protein mediates iron metabolism factor hepcidin expression, interacts with GDF5/6 to regulate chondrocyte differentiation and adipogenesis[2][3]. BMPR1A-ID2/ZEB1-TGFBR2 signaling axis could serve as a potentia target for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and other endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT)-related vascular disorders[4]. BMPR1A/ALK-3 Protein, Canine (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant protein produced in the HEK293 cells with C-terminal hFc-tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BMPR1A, also known as ALK-3, is a receptor that plays a crucial role in bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signaling pathways, which are essential for various biological processes including embryonic development, tissue regeneration, and bone formation. Dysregulation of BMPR1A signaling has been implicated in a range of diseases, including pulmonary arterial hypertension and certain cancers. Recent research has focused on the functional characterization of recombinant BMPR1A/ALK-3 proteins to better understand their structural properties and interactions with ligands. These recombinant proteins are valuable tools for elucidating the mechanism of BMP signaling and the downstream effects on cellular processes. Studies often include the examination of BMPR1A's role in modulating Smad-dependent and Smad-independent pathways, and how mutations or alterations in this receptor can affect cellular responses to BMPs. The development of effective therapeutic strategies targeting BMPR1A may provide new avenues for treating conditions related to abnormal BMP signaling. Understanding the structure and function of recombinant BMPR1A/ALK-3 will help in the design of novel drugs and therapies that can restore normal signaling pathways disrupted in disease states.
