IL-17C

简介
IL-17C is an early response cytokine in the defense against bacterial pathogens and upregulates the expression of a variety of antimicrobial peptides. IL-17C stimulates the release of cytokines and is implicated in autoimmune disorders and bacterial infections[1]. IL-17C Protein, Human (sf9, Fc) is a recombinant human IL-17C protein with hFc tag at the C-terminus and is expressed in Sf9 insect cells.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-17C (IL-17C) is a member of the IL-17 cytokine family that plays a crucial role in mediating inflammatory responses and immune regulation. Research on IL-17C has gained momentum in recent years due to its involvement in various autoimmune diseases and inflammatory conditions, such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease. Unlike its better-known counterparts, IL-17A and IL-17F, IL-17C has distinct receptor interactions and signaling pathways, which promote the activation of epithelial cells, neutrophils, and other immune cells. It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of tissue inflammation and remodeling, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Recombinant IL-17C proteins have been developed to study their biological functions and to explore their efficacy in modulating immune responses in experimental models. The innovative approaches to produce and characterize these recombinant proteins aim to elucidate the precise roles of IL-17C in disease mechanisms and to assess their potential utility in therapeutic applications. Understanding IL-17C's mechanisms of action not only enhances our knowledge of immune regulation but also paves the way for novel treatment strategies for inflammatory diseases, marking a significant step forward in immunological research.
