Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Insulin receptor (InsR) and CD220, also known as the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R), are pivotal components in the regulation of cellular metabolism, growth, and differentiation. InsR is primarily responsible for mediating the effects of insulin, a key hormone in glucose homeostasis, while IGF-1R plays a significant role in growth and developmental processes by responding to insulin-like growth factors. Dysregulation of these receptors is closely associated with various metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes and cancer. Studies have shown that the signaling pathways activated by InsR and IGF-1R share similarities, and their interactions can influence physiological responses. The generation and characterization of recombinant proteins for InsR and IGF-1R facilitate the investigation of their molecular mechanisms, identification of potential therapeutic targets, and development of insulin-mimetic compounds. Moreover, understanding the structural and functional dynamics of these receptors can unveil new insights into their roles in both normal physiology and disease pathology. Research on InsR/CD220 recombinant proteins is thus crucial for advancing therapeutic strategies for metabolic disorders and malignancies, offering hope for improved clinical outcomes through targeted interventions.
