  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LAG-3 (Lymphocyte Activation Gene-3) is an immune checkpoint receptor that plays a significant role in regulating T cell activity and maintaining immune homeostasis. It is highly expressed on activated T cells, regulatory T cells, and certain other immune cells. In cancer immunotherapy, LAG-3 has garnered considerable attention due to its ability to inhibit T cell function, making it a potential target for enhancing anti-tumor immunity. Research has shown that LAG-3 interacts with MHC class II molecules, leading to a downregulation of T cell activation and proliferation. Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying LAG-3 signaling and its role in immune escape by tumors has become a critical focus. Additionally, the development of LAG-3-targeted therapies, including monoclonal antibodies and recombinant proteins, is being explored to improve the efficacy of existing immunotherapeutic approaches. These studies aim not only to block LAG-3’s inhibitory effects but also to use LAG-3 as a biomarker for patient stratification in immunotherapy. The exploration of LAG-3 recombinant proteins has attracted interest as tools for both studying its biology and advancing therapeutic strategies, particularly in combination with other immune modulators. Overall, ongoing research on LAG-3 continues to shed light on its dual role in immune regulation and its potential as a therapeutic target in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders.
