  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

LRP1 (Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 1) is a multi-functional receptor that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including lipid metabolism, neuronal signaling, and clearance of proteolytic products. Its involvement in neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, has sparked significant research interest, as LRP1 modulates the transport and processing of amyloid precursor protein and amyloid-beta peptides. Moreover, LRP1 is implicated in the regulation of vascular functions and inflammation, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. The development of recombinant LRP1 protein facilitates in-depth studies on its structure-function relationships and its interactions with various ligands, enhancing our understanding of its biological significance. By expressing and purifying LRP1 in a controlled environment, researchers aim to elucidate its role in disease mechanisms, explore its potential as a biomarker, and investigate possible interventions that could leverage LRP1's pathways for therapeutic benefit. This research holds promise for new strategies in treating conditions linked to altered lipoprotein metabolism and neurodegeneration.
