  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD47 is a cell surface protein that plays a pivotal role in regulating immune response and maintaining self-recognition in the body. It serves as a "don't eat me" signal for macrophages and other immune cells, inhibiting phagocytosis. The interaction between CD47 and its receptor, signal regulatory protein alpha (SIRPα), has garnered significant attention in cancer research, as many tumors exploit this pathway to evade immune surveillance. Overexpression of CD47 in various cancers has been correlated with poor prognosis, making it a promising target for immunotherapy. Recent studies have focused on the development of CD47 recombinant proteins to block this interaction, enhancing the immune system's ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. These recombinant proteins, often designed to either mimic or inhibit CD47, aim to reinvigorate the phagocytic activity of macrophages against malignancies. Furthermore, preclinical trials have shown that targeting the CD47-SIRPα axis can synergize with other therapies, such as monoclonal antibodies, leading to improved antitumor responses. As a result, ongoing research is exploring the efficacy, safety, and potential clinical applications of CD47 recombinant proteins in treating various cancers, highlighting their importance in advancing cancer immunotherapy and improving patient outcomes.
